Mad Cow Racing was originally formed in 1990 by three sports addicts, Tony Ferrari, Graham Pentney and Pete Davis.

We all had backgrounds in different sports that were largely endurance based, revolved around motorbikes or martial arts. Many of these would now be termed "extreme sports" but it was our love of the then infant sport of Mountain Biking that brought us together.

Our backgrounds include: Mountain Biking, Running, Triathlon, Moto Cross, Enduro, Side Car Cross, White Water Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Ju-Jitsu, Judo  Karate and Rugby (of course it's extreme)!

We were joined soon after our formation by Kevin Miller who could add Dragon Boat Racing (I kid you not) to our resume and raced Mountain Bikes in the Junior category, completing the line up in the Youth category was Sam Ayriss. A few others joined us and left along the way  and I'm sure we will be telling you all about them in time (we are still trying to remember their names).

This site is intended to be a celebration of the sheer lunacy that was (and is) Mad Cow Racing but also is a vehicle for many of my other interests. The site is continually growing so how about sticking it in your favourites.

If you were expecting a site about a classic motorcycle racing team (www.madcowracing.co.uk) you need to click here

If on the other hand you were expecting a site about an American Speed Skier called John Hembel then you need to be here

Popular name isn't it!
